5 AM. The dark blue sky is starting to melt, the tones are slowly changing, as someone would carefully add white to the color palette.
I hear the coffee machine. Last touches on the dress, steaming the linen shirt.

As they step out of the door, the city is still asleep. Like parents moving quietly around a sleeping child, they walk on the streets. They witness how the first sunrays gently stroke the façades of the ancient buildings. Majestic play. Rome is awake.

Part two —— life like a movie

Getting married in Tuscany was her dream. Indeed, one and a half years ago, when she contacted me for the first time, she wrote me their wedding in Hungary was going to have Italian vibes.
I wasn't available that weekend, but we kept in touch.

And many months later there we stood, among the tall cypresses. Rain and mud couldn't scare us away.

"Sometimes I have these moments, when I feel like my life is out of a movie" — she said, while she took it all in. In Tuscany, being in her husband's arms, wearing her wedding dress one more time.

As the morning light finds its way into the old Italian villa, he's standing in the kitchen. The Bialetti is doing its job. He's leaning back on the kitchen counter, rubbing his eyes, waiting for the gurgling sound. Morning routine. Steaming hot coffee. He takes the cup and goes back to the bedroom, smiling. He knows her so well. He knows she needs her coffee more than anything else in the morning.
